This body of work concerns tangible value and artistic value.
The pricing of art goes to the heart of how we quantify merit. This project aims to strip away the artist as ego in terms of price and put the works firmly in the realm of market value - that of land price, per square foot of paper, using collected dust and pulverised brick from the streets where the text-based charcoal artwork originate using the most up-to-date prices available.
The text is taken from contemporary estate agents blurb from the London boroughs.
Signed original editions of these works can be commissioned by the sq ft, direct from the artist using the prices quoted in the table below:
